Regular Season Round 10: NKA - TalTech 80-72

There was a surprise result when 81th ranked LithuanianNKA (7-1) beat higher ranked Estonian TalTech (5-3) 80-72 on Saturday. TalTech trailed by 12 points at halftime and as many as 19 after three quarters before a 29-18 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 72-80 at the end of the game. NKA outrebounded TalTech 65-46 including a 48-30 advantage in defensive rebounds. Sarunas Knysius fired 26 points for the winners. Domas Dragunas chipped in 9 points and 13 rebounds. Guard Daniel Kaljula (186-2009) produced 24 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Mark Poljakov (198-2009) added 4 points and 14 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. NKA have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to 57th place, which they share with Pardubice. Loser TalTech dropped to the eighteenth position with three games lost. They share it with DSN and Marupes.
